Sustainability Goals
Global IQ Group is committed to playing our part in creating a climate positive future. We are passionate about commercialising ideas in the renewable space and powering ideas that significantly reduce energy consumption in buildings as we transition to Net Zero.
Whether it be creating new jobs through innovation, reducing household expenditure through clean and affordable energy sources, or even supporting governments to allow them opportunity and access to better resources to achieve our world goals, we are committed to doing our bit to help.
Entrepreneurship
Global IQ Group is passionate about the business of tomorrow. Our Director, Liza Taylor has mentored over 100 small businesses as part of the Australian Small Business and Advisory Service, and the NSW Business Connect program.
“This is my way to give back to small business. There’s nothing more satisfying than helping emerging business leaders find their feet and grow their business.”
We have also been selected as Mentors for the Boosting Female Founders program – an initiative in which female founded start-ups receive support in growing their business ideas and expanding into new markets.
Innovation
At Global IQ Group, we love innovators – and believe that with the right support and resources, our ideas can change the world. Our focus on the built environment and sustainability has allowed us to help our clients drive innovation across HVAC&R, building products and clean technology sectors.
We have worked with CSIRO to engage with stakeholders from over 60 companies across the HVAC&R industry. This led to the formation of the Innovation Hub for Affordable Heating and Cooling, a $18.9m project championed by AIRAH and QUT, UoW, University of Melbourne. The iHub initiative aims to promote innovation across the sector and reduce peak demand and improve energy efficiency through the integration of HVAC&R technology with renewables.
Women in STEM
As a female-owned organisation, Global IQ Group is deeply committed to promoting gender diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to helping women ‘break the bias’ and improving the number of women in STEM and entrepreneurship.
Our Director and Co-founder, Liza Taylor, is passionate about promoting women in the industry. As an AIRAH Board member, Liza is heavily involved with the Women of AIRAH, focusing on encouraging gender diversity within the HVAC&R sector. Her re-election to the AIRAH Board for 2021-2023 emphasises this contribution, achieving gender equality across the elected Board positions.
